About the Exhibition

Denis Farley

Denis Farley lives and works in Montreal. He holds a master's degree in studio art from Concordia University (1984). His recent photographs, often of industrial or technological spaces, enquire into the connection between nature and the urban environment. His work has been exhibited on numerous occasions in Canada, the United States and Europe and can be found in several public and private collections, including those of the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography in Ottawa, the Musée de la Photographie in Charleroi, Belgium and the Fonds national d'art contemporain in Paris. In 2008 he participated at the exhibition La photographie hantée par la photographie spirite at the Musée régional de Rimouski. He is represented by the Graff gallery in Montreal, where the show Voir double was exhibited in 2009, and by the Leo Kamen gallery in Toronto, which presented New Works, Greenhouses that same year. Denis Farley has been a part-time instructor at Université du Québec à Montréal since 1998.
