Wave Interference

Wave Interference takes the form of a fascinating light wave which unfurls in space. This kinetic installation is essentially composed of 88 fluorescent tubes, whose light is emitted only through a narrow horizontal slit in each. This linear composition is animated by an undulating movement which runs down the wall and onto the floor. A guide ramp runs along one side creating this unfolding wave, whose movement is accentuated by the sound accompaniment of an old organ, powered by the same mechanical movement. A contemplative and mysterious work, Wave Interference is a timeless experience resulting from the fruitful encounter between obsolete objects and complex mechanisms.
