As part of Beau Gomez’s residency, VU invites you to join the artist for an open studio on wednesday june 7. The artist will take the floor at 5h30 to provide context and open the discussion around his ongoing project The colour of your flowers.

The color of your flowers is a journey through portraiture and storytelling based on the lives of queer individuals as they navigate the nuances and complexities of living with HIV. Gathering images, texts, audio and archival material, Gomez turns an intimate lens to the realities that shape these collective and individual experiences, offering a visual compendium of day-to-day life ; a place where dialogue, benevolence, inquiry and disclosure blossom and come together.
